We all love to receive blessings but are we doing the right things to earn these? The Bible clearly teaches that we are to bless Israel and that those who do will be blessed in return. Sadly many churches in the UK don’t believe Israel is still part of God’s plan, instead they teach that the Church has replaced Israel, despite many passages that teach the opposite. Jesus should always be central in our praise and belief for eternal salvation, but by not praying for Israel we may miss out on earthly blessings!

This weeks news of Pope Benedict’s retirement is certainly a big media event but there could be more to this story than meets the eye.
In the 12th century, Archbishop St. Malachy had a prophetic vision of the next 112 popes which has become known as the “Prophecy of the Popes“. Soon retiring Pope Benedict was number 111 on the list so the next pope will be the last one according to this prophecy. Malachy described him as:
