Christians in Egypt are suffering desperate persecution in the midst of the present turmoil. Predictably, the UK media is largely silent on this aspect of the current crisis.

Most books of the Bible come under scrutiny in one way or another regarding their reliability. Many try to move the date of writing later to avoid acknowledging prophecies or simply say the accounts recorded are false. The Book of Acts is no exception, it contains plenty of historical details that some find hard to believe. The current chaos in Egypt is dominating our news media. Egypt is now in a state of emergency, the Egyptian army have cracked down on the pro-Morsi supports and Muslim Brotherhood protests resulting in violence.
Many have now been injured or killed in this escalating situation, including a Sky News cameraman, who was shot.
Unfortunately during this violence the Muslim Brotherhood also attacked over 20 churches, some of them being torched – Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi supporters torch Egyptian churches. We need to pray protection for the Coptic Christian’s in Egypt as well as a peaceful end to all this violence.

The Bible makes it crystal clear that a person can only be saved if he/she believes that Jesus Christ ROSE from the dead. The fact that Jesus rose from the dead demonstrates that His sacrificial death was acceptable to God, the Father. If Jesus had not risen, we would all still be dead in our sins – the resurrection was proof that the debt of sin had been paid is full and accepted by God.
