We recently blogged about a non-religious technology blogger who pointed out the similarity between the description of the “mark of the beast” in the book of Revelation and modern technological security developments – Technology for the mark of the beast.

This additional link describes a coming device that identifies us through our heartbeat! This is evidently a very secure way to authenticate identity – Pulse passwords are next step towards permanent human microchip implantations.

The technology is this field is becoming astonishingly advanced and we suspect it won’t be too long before we have to make difficult decisions because of the legitimate concerns that these devices will raise.

Our news channels have been dominated by the shocking scenes in Kenya and other more mundane events in the past few days. However, there has been an atrocity perpetrated against Christians in Pakistan as they left church that has hardly had a mention in the news, in which more lives have been lost than in the attack in Kenya. It is almost unbelievable that this murderous attack on Christians in which at least 81 lives have been taken has received little or no media coverage!

It was rather bewildering that news channels would devote blanket coverage to one terrible event in Kenya but no media coverage to a more brutal… Continue reading

Day to day life is filled with distractions – some of these are welcome and others are not. Although our lives can be very hectic and complicated it is vital to keep a firm focus on the eternal Kingdom to come. We live in a society that overwhelms us with differing opinions, lifestyle choices and other things that mainly focus on the “here and now”. It is easy to over complicate life and we can be knocked off track very subtly. The same applies for the gospel – the message Jesus Christ preached surrounding eternal life is actually very simple. This good article uses John’s gospel to show the simplicity… Continue reading

The link below provides a perfect example of why it is so important to carefully gather the facts before allowing a headline form an opinion – Visual Lies: Exposing the Truth Behind Demonstrations in Judea and Samaria.

We do not pretend that Israel is free of all guilt in some of these “flare-ups” – however, this particular example shows how media bias often manipulates and obscures “facts” to vilify Israel in an effort to promote anti-semitic propaganda.

The situation in Syria is terrible at present and the city of Damascus occupies much content of international news reporting. There is a very well-known prophecy concerning Damascus in Isaiah 17 which has never been fulfilled. This has been the subject of some of our previous blogs (here and here).

There is also an interesting prophecy concerning Damascus in Jeremiah 49:23-27. Many commentators assume this prophecy was fulfilled when Damascus was invaded in 732 BC. In the link below, Joel Rosenberg makes the vital point that this prophecy cannot have been fulfilled at that time as the recipient of this prophecy, Jeremiah, was not alive before this –… Continue reading

At times, we can focus so much on something that we can forget the more obvious details – in other words, we cannot always see the wood for the trees! We believe this is true of Darwinian evolutionists. Many brush off or neglect the fact that Darwin had his own doubts and recognized there were many gaps in his evidence – Darwin believed/hoped that the missing evidence would subsequently need be discovered – it never has! This short video gives an introduction into Darwin’s own admission that further evidence would be needed to validate this theories:

We explore this in more depth in our article Are the Bible and Science… Continue reading

This is an interesting “technology” blog that includes insightful comments about a well-known text in the book of Revelation from the perspective of a non-religious blogger – The Mark of the Beast is coming…or is it here?

The Apostle John (in the first century AD) was clearly given a very accurate vision of what the world would look like in the future. We would argue that the book of Revelation is a divinely inspired text and precisely relays many forthcoming events. Although we imagine the technology for the “mark of the beast” will be incredibly advanced, it’s very difficult (and maybe a little unwise) to speculate on the precise nature… Continue reading
