We live in an age where even Jesus Christ’s existence is doubted! As Christians, we believe the New Testament provides ample historical evidence for Jesus’ life. With all the New Testament books were written well within 100 years of Jesus death (and resurrection) we have eye witness testimonies that include hundreds of references to Jesus.
But for a non-Christian, this is not enough as they do not see the Bible as a trustworthy source. Also, if everything the Bible says about Jesus is true you would expect other people to have written about Jesus whether they believed in him or not.
One thing we do have to remember is that… Continue reading
We live at a time where a neutral position on moral issues is highly esteemed and at face-value, this seems intelligent, reasonable and tolerant. This great article by Stand to Reason’s Greg Koukl provides a fascinating counter-argument to this idea. He reveals the assumptions and surprising “intolerance” that is required to hold this view – a very interesting perspective from a great apologist – The Myth of Moral Neutrality.
The Christian in the UK is constantly bombarded with accusations of intolerance, divisiveness and being judgmental – we see this most on issues such as abortion, sexuality, sin, heaven, hell, etc. The reality is that EVERYONE holds moral positions that… Continue reading
In the scientific arena, you would imagine that hard evidence overrides preconceived ideas and personal views – at times, however, it seems the reverse is true and those unproven worldviews take priority. Mark Armitage, a published scientist, is suing Calif University because of a discovery he made – Scientist Sues Calif University for Firing Him After His Dinosaur Discovery Supported Creationism.
Unfortunately, this case is not a one-off, as we refer to in our Science and the Bible – Lost Freedom blog, where Christian’s in the scientific community are being forced out because of what they believe rather than what the evidence shows!
Secular scientists are not content to… Continue reading
The title of this blog could have read, “Islamic State already in London” as leaflets “hailing the caliphate” are given out on the capitals streets – Islamic State supporters give out leaflets in London hailing the caliphate. This has been picked up by the Daily Mail – ‘The dawn of a new era has begun’: ISIS supporters hand out leaflets in London’s Oxford Street encouraging people to move to newly proclaimed Islamic State.
History is littered with examples of fatal epidemic diseases that have affected large regions in the past – however, in the West, we tend to feel quite confident that any new outbreaks would be quickly restrained before causing substantial deaths – do we really have that security?
Scripture provides many clear signs to watch for as the end times approach, with pestilences being one of the signs mentioned specifically by Jesus Christ:
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom… Continue reading
Our primary mission with this website is to draw the unsaved to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to obtain everlasting salvation. One of the ways we do this is to point visitors to the many descriptions of the “end times” in the Bible and particularly the “birth-pangs” preceding Jesus’ second coming – we believe “end time” events are imminent and as Christian’s, we are instructed to be watching the signs so that we are not caught off-guard! One of the most powerful ways to authenticate the Bible is its amazing track record of precisely laying out events before they happen – this can only be possible through a… Continue reading
Earlier this week we posted a blog, A clear example of antisemitism in the UK in which we reported on recent calls to boycott Israel, Israeli’s and anyone who has links to Israel.
This propaganda has been significantly notched up a level since then with MP George Galloway declaring Bradford an “Israel free” zone! He then went on to encourage all kinds of discrimination against Israeli’s and stated, “We don’t want any Israeli goods; we don’t want any Israeli services; we don’t want any Israeli academics coming to the university or the college. We don’t even want any Israeli tourists to come to Bradford even if any of them… Continue reading
