On the 23rd December, Danny was the preacher at St Andrew’s Baptist Church. In this sermon, he explored the nativity accounts through the perspective of Mary and Joseph we here considers why God chose them for their amazing roles in the birth of Jesus.
He also addresses another baffling feature of the nativities: that the religious experts of the day directed the wise men to Bethlehem to see find Jesus, but couldn’t be bothered to travel there themselves! This has to be one of the most disturbing features of the nativity accounts. Danny makes the case that the mixed reaction to the arrival of Jesus at His first coming will… Continue reading
Do you want Jesus? It’s a simple question that is often misunderstood as some feel-good experience that will change our lives. It is a dark world we live in that is getting bleaker by the day but there is a light in this darkness. There is a truth amongst the lies that offers eternal hope, do you want it? True belief in Jesus Christ doesn’t mean your problems will go away, it means God is there with you through those hard times. It’s not a feel-good experience but a relationship with our Creator who we will all meet face to face one day. Make today the day you turn to… Continue reading
Danny was recently the preacher at St Andrew’s Baptist Church where he went through Acts 17. He took a look at how Paul adjusted his message to meet his audiences ‘gap in knowledge’ whilst never compromising on the gospel. Any analogy of a fence and a well was used to describe how different believers approach their faith – there are pros and cons with both and a mixture of the two are the ideal balance for a healthy spiritual walk.
BTW – are you are Gutenberger or a Googler?!
Feel free to listen via the link below to unpack all the above – hope it is a blessing:
Exchanges with atheists can get heated! Sometimes it doesn’t matter what evidence is presented, there is a refusal to engage with the facts. Although everyone would insist they are open to searching for the ‘truth’, presuppositions usually cloud these conversations leaving little space for a change of mind.
However, there is one simple way to cut to the chase in these conversations with an effective technique, as covered on Faithwire. It is a straightforward question to ask the atheist with the aim of discovering true motives. Many don’t want there to be a God because of the implications that will mean to their lives.
The question is…
If Christianity… Continue reading
There is a project underway across China that should grab the attention of every Christian who takes Bible Prophecy seriously – it’s called the ‘Social Credit System’. Furthermore, it should grab the attention of anyone who values the freedom and liberty of humankind.
First announced back in 2014, this project is designed to secure the obedience and trust of the population by ranking them on a points system – in a nutshell, this acts as a mechanism of distinguishing the ‘good’ citizens from the ‘bad’ ones. Each citizen has a personal score which goes up for desirable behaviours and down for misdemeanours. Those with high scores can benefit from… Continue reading
We often blog on the growing intolerance shown to anyone who questions the social-engineering program that is currently underway in the UK. Recently, we shared some details of proposals put forward by the Scottish government to promote the notion that ‘gender’ is a choice rather than a biological fact – if this was not alarming enough, this is being aimed at 5-year-old children in the classroom.
This agenda is being further stepped up now with the police being asked to muscle in against anyone labelled as a ‘bigot’! David Robertson has written a blog – The ‘Hate’ Police are Now Here – with photos of adverts that have been popping… Continue reading
Ray Comfort has an incredible gift of evangelism and we have a few of his video’s on our website where his unique style can be observed – he seems able to combine a genuinely loving and caring approach without compromising any of the truths of the gospel. He also has an ability to articulate the gospel so clearly and personally to people from all kinds of backgrounds.
We find it interesting that in many of the clips in Ray’s videos, it is the reality of a coming judgment that appears to grab peoples attention and the reality of their own need of salvation when presented with God’s moral law –… Continue reading
