Have you heard people talking about the rapture? Maybe you missed the rapture? If millions of people have suddenly disappeared in an instant, without any trace, please read on! Mainstream media will have an explanation for this event which most people will accept and may seem plausible, but deep down, you sense is not the full story. Depending on when you read this article, the world will either appear fairly calm and under control or there could be complete chaos and turmoil – this is hard to predict, but if this mysterious event has taken place, PLEASE read further!
The Bible clearly predicts a moment where every follower of Jesus Christ will be “snatched” away to meet with the Lord in the air. For them, this will be a fantastic event and this is the hope of every true Christian. However, the reason believers have been removed is to pave the way for some terrible judgments on earth – this is something you need to prepare for.
We hope you now accept there is a supernatural dimension to world events and that there is clearly a spiritual element to our existence. We also hope this proves the Bible to be true as this is exactly what Scripture says would happen. Despite this, there will be many ‘theories’ being circulated to explain this phenomenon with the intention of directing people away from the truth.
The important thing now is to focus on discerning truth from deception. Now is not the time for reflecting what you should have done but to focus on the current situation, understand the implications for you, and be prepared for what is coming.

Wait, I thought I was a Christian!
If you believe you are a Christian, it is likely you were deceived and believed a false gospel – the Bible clearly predicts that the church will deceive many and take them AWAY from the true path of salvation. The only way to avoid deception is to read the gospel accounts and to accept the offer of salvation as Jesus Christ describes it – read the many warnings that Jesus made about apostasy, deception and the need to endure to the end. Take these warnings at face-value and do NOT believe the church above the Word of God!
Missed the rapture – Your salvation
The very fact that you are reading this article is no accident – maybe God is tapping you on the shoulder. Listen to your conscious – do you sense that God is trying to get your attention?
If you have not taken the Mark of the Beast, it is essential you get saved right now. Look at our How to be Saved page. The age of Grace has now passed but you still need to confess Jesus Christ as Lord, repent, and surrender your will to Him.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10 NIV)
Jesus died on the cross for your sins – his blood was shed so that by believing in Jesus as Lord we can be forgiven of our sins.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)
The times you are living in are not going to be easy and you will be challenged to make some very hard decisions that will dramatically affect your life. Christians will be targeted and persecuted – expect to lose everything you have for the name of Jesus Christ. Believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior has got to be your strength and conviction no matter what the world throws at you.
The Bible describes many people who were saved during the tribulation period so you can be reassured that you will not be alone:
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. …I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9, 14 NIV)
The tribulation period will be a tough road and it will take real courage to remain on the path to Christ. Unfortunately, the path to life is one that few will take – the majority will take the path to destruction:
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14 NIV)
Your main goal is to endure to the end. You will need to be prepared to die for your faith at some point during the tribulation period, but it is to keep your faith until the end.
Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Mark 13:13 NIV)
but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:13 NIV)
Many people (including friends and family) may turn against you as they are taken in by deception. Jesus Christ will be your only salvation, your only refuge, your only hope – keep hold of that truth and never let it go!
What is happening – the Tribulation period
Look around you, everyone you see has missed the rapture! Following the disappearance of this group of people, has the world quickly descended into deeper moral depravity than before? Are some of the clear prophecies of the book of Revelation starting to unfold? Are the Jews completely isolated in the land of Israel and the world converging on them in order to exterminate them? Has a world leader established himself and is he demanding complete allegiance that includes the acceptance of a mark on either the right hand or forehand of every human being?
This period has been set aside by God for two purposes: firstly, the redemption of Israel and secondly, God’s judgment of an unbelieving world. The Bible states this period will last exactly seven years – a point which commences when a peace agreement has been made with Israel. The seven-year period is split into two equal halves: the first is relatively peaceful as this leader rises in power while the second half is known as the Great Tribulation, or the time of ‘Jacob’s Trouble’ – this is a horrific period where God pours out his wrath on the world. The Great Tribulation climaxes with Jesus’ Second Coming.
Here are some elements of this period of time that need to be understood:
The Antichrist
A new world leader will come on the scene very quickly who the Bible describes as the Antichrist. This man will be possessed by Satan himself. He will appear peaceful, compassionate and offer plausible solutions to the world’s biggest problems – this will result in compliance from the majority of the world. He will be the main political and religious leader on the global stage who appears able to unite all nations. A one-world government will be formed to create a single global economy, which will set the stage for receiving the ‘mark of the beast’.
Expect this Antichrist to display incredible supernatural signs and wonders whilst powered by Satan – something which will make even more credible as a leader to venerate. This is all part of the deception – this leader will plunge the world into incredible suffering, especially if you refuse to submit in worship. You will need to watch closely all the events and changes happening around the world and use discernment – don’t get taken in by any of the miracles!
And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. (Revelation 13:13-14 NIV)
The Mark of the Beast
The Antichrist will set up a world-wide trading system via some form of currency – when in place, purchases will only be able to be made via a ‘mark’ which each individual has to accept. This will give him total control over what is bought and sold. This ‘mark’ (probably some form of microchip implant) will be located on either a person’s right hand or forehead, this is known as the Mark of the Beast – DO NOT TAKE THIS MARK!
The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18 NIV)
By receiving this mark you are likely to be surrendering any possibility for you to be saved! The acceptance of this ‘mark’ is a pledge of allegiance to the Antichrist – with this mark, there is no turning back, it is a one-way path to the lake of fire!
Those who do not take the mark will have a very tough time as they will not be able to buy food, drink or any goods through the normal channels. It is vital to reassure yourself with the end-game – a glorious everlasting future in heaven.
Many will be deceived
The Bible clearly states that God will send a “strong delusion” on those that rejected the truth:
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NIV, emphasis added)
It is hard to predict the precise form of the deception that will be promoted by the Antichrist via the world’s media, but it is likely to include an explanation of the disappearance of millions of people at the rapture. We suspect it will go along the lines that some form of alien intelligence cleansing the world by taking those who would impede the evolution of mankind. It may be suggested that the “bad people” have been taken – however, the truth is that the saved people will have been taken!
‘Church leaders’ should be approached with extreme caution as any who were not part of the rapture were obviously not true believers, so unless they have repented and corrected their beliefs they cannot be trusted. The Antichrist will usher in a global religious system that will appear to bring peace to the world – this will deceive many. The mainstream churches will believe and promote this false message and we expect churches to be packed with followers hungry for this satanic doctrine with the premise of some form of global religion.
It will be a time of confusion, with miraculous events happening around the world, as Satan goes all out to prevent everyone from gaining true salvation. Be on the alert, this deception will be very convincing and entice many, with even the “elect” falling for it:
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24 NIV)
True believers will need to worship out of public sight as any form of praising Christ will result in persecution that will get increasingly hostile further into the tribulation period.
Being martyred
Unfortunately, it is likely that you will be killed (most likely beheaded) if you stay loyal to Jesus Christ. This will be the only path to heaven – the choice will be to die for Jesus Christ or surrender loyalty to the Antichrist.
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4 NIV, emphasis added)
This is obviously a daunting prospect, but being forewarned is being forearmed – hold onto the promise of an eternity with the true coming King!
Protecting Jews
The Tribulation period is, in a large part, to do with Israel’s redemption and there will be large scale aggression toward Israel and the Jewish people during this time. The nations of the world, lead by Satan, will come against Israel in force – remember Israel and the Jews are still God’s chosen nation.
As the Middle East becomes a war zone, we expect the majority of local communities to witness Jews being persecuted. It is essential you help and protect God’s people as best you can. God will bless you for this. It is possible that the passage below refers specifically to the Jewish people:
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. (Matthew 25:31-46 NIV)
Missed the rapture – some suggestions
These are only suggestions that may help, depending on when you read this:
- if possible, find other true believers – stick together, pray together, study God’s Word together and support each other
- ONLY trust the Word of God – read the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) and particularly Revelation chapters 6-19
- find somewhere secure to stay, preferably with people you trust and stock up on water, perishable foods, and goods
- the use of cash may not be permitted for long but acquire items and skills that can be used to barter for goods/resources
Jesus is coming back really soon!
Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30 NIV)
The best news is that you can now be certain that the second coming of Jesus Christ will be very soon – the Great Tribulation climaxes with Jesus Christ’s visible appearance!
Jesus is coming back as conquering King to fulfil many remaining prophecies:
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords. (Revelation 19:11-16 NIV)
while we wait for the blessed hope–the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13 NIV)
