In his speech to the UN General Assembly, Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu, declared “In our time, the biblical prophecies are being realized.” He even quoted from Amos at the end of his speech:

And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God. (Amos 9:14-15)

It is a great sign having Israel’s Prime Minister reference Bible prophecy and clearly shows his keen interest in the Scriptures. For the world leaders to hear the relevance of Biblical prophecy to us today is also very positive, we can only pray the leaders are challenged by these Scriptures and desire to learn more.

Another positive sign is Netanyahu’s sternness regarding Iran’s nuclear weapons. This is important with the Western nations seemingly relaxing their support for Israel day by day. Israel will realistically have to take matters into their own hands for the benefit of their own existence! While Bible prophecy is clear on the outcome in the Middle East there will certainly be testing time to come, possibly in the very near future.
