In the scientific arena, you would imagine that hard evidence overrides preconceived ideas and personal views – at times, however, it seems the reverse is true and those unproven worldviews take priority. Mark Armitage, a published scientist, is suing Calif University because of a discovery he made – Scientist Sues Calif University for Firing Him After His Dinosaur Discovery Supported Creationism.
Unfortunately, this case is not a one-off, as we refer to in our Science and the Bible – Lost Freedom blog, where Christian’s in the scientific community are being forced out because of what they believe rather than what the evidence shows!
Secular scientists are not content to stop there – creation science is also being banned from government funded schools – UK State-Funded Schools Ban All Teaching of Creation Science.
Anyone would think they have something to hide! If the evidence shows clearly there is no creator then surely the children can be taught both sides so they can make up their own minds – most people instinctively believe our world is not the result of a huge explosion and common sense teaches that it’s absurd to believe “nothing” randomly became “something”?! We guess this would not be very convenient and may threaten the long-standing beliefs of Darwinian evolution.
It is increasingly clear that any evidence that supports the existence of a Creator God is shoved to the sidelines as secular agendas taking priority. There are good ministries that help to stand firm and use the abundant evidence for Biblical Creation and how it helps to maintain trust in Scripture.
