For those able to keep up with the ever-changing events in Israel, it’s clear that there is a deliberate and dangerous build up of pressure that has to explode at some point soon. This pressure includes overt violence, the threat of violence and written attacks and slander by the media and other opinion-makers.
While the world as a whole looks the other way, there have been hundreds of attacks perpetrated by brainwashed Palestinian’s against Jews from within Israeli cities resulting in carnage. Jews are being targeted simply for being Jews. Rockets continue to be fired into Israeli territory from the Gaza strip whilst groups in other neighbouring countries (most notably Syria) continue to be destabilized by those that have an ultimate goal of attacking the Jewish state. Further afield, Iran (with a blessing from the western world) is accelerating its quest for nuclear weapons which will inevitably be used against Israel and news from Yemen recently reveals Jews there are being forced to convert to Islam or leave the country. Across Europe, there has been a dramatic rise in anti-Semitic incidents in recent months as the world turns on the Jews as has always been the case.
Whilst all of this is going on, the majority of international reporting (if it’s covered at all) uses clear bias to portray the Israeli’s as the villains and the Palestinians the victims. This unsustainable situation has to reach a climax with a combination of violent attacks from within and surrounding Israel whilst the rest of the world turns a blind eye, or worst still, fuels these attacks by defending or inciting them.
Those interested in Bible Prophecy will see other events leaping out of the Bible at present:
- with Russia taking the lead in Syria due to the impotence of Western nations and co-operating with Iran, events are aligning for a potential fulfilment of Ezekiel 38/39. Recent news also indicates that the land of Israel sits on huge natural resources which could also be a significant motive in a future attack.
- a potential fulfilment of Isaiah 17 looks more likely as each week passes – who could imagine that this obscure 2,700-year-old passage looks so likely to play out on our TV screens?!
It is staggering to see the world shaping up so precisely in line with Bible prophecy – meanwhile, many Christian’s have no interest at all in Bible Prophecy even though Jesus clearly instructed that we be aware of these things. Indeed, we live in very strange times – let’s keep our eyes on our only hope…the Lord Jesus!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. (Psalm 122:6)
