End Times
A couple of news agencies have picked up on a strange event as many hundreds of fish were found dead in a London lake:

There could be many reasons for this, environment agencies are currently investigating possible causes. We see strange mass animal deaths now happening all over the world that seems to resemble a prophecy by Hosea where animals of the field, birds, and fish will be taken away:

History is littered with examples of fatal epidemic diseases that have affected large regions in the past – however, in the West, we tend to feel quite confident that any new outbreaks would be quickly restrained before causing substantial deaths – do we really have that security?

It is fair to say there has been a significant escalation of events in the Middle East in recent weeks. We believe what we are currently seeing in news reports may be rapidly edging us closer to the fulfilment of Old and New Testament prophecy. Whatever we feel about the troubling events of the Israel/Gaza situation, no-one can deny that these events are dramatically affecting world opinion of the State of Israel and galvanising Islamic extremism. We believe current events are hastening the conditions the Bible provides to alert to the impeding fulfilment of end time prophecy.

There is no question that the levels of Biblical literacy in Christian circles has dramatically decreased in recent decades. This alarming trend looks set to continue and there are many reasons for this as Kenneth Berding points out in his article – The Crisis of Biblical Illiteracy.
In summary, Berding points to the following reasons for this:
- Distractions
- Misplaced Priorities
- Unwarranted overconfidence
- The pretext of being too busy

This has hit the news in the UK over the weekend where a building in Berlin has been designed that allows for followers of Christianity, Judaism and Islam to worship under the same roof – Berlin House of One: The first church-mosque-synagogue? (BBC News)
Although this is not a huge surprise given the steady push towards a religious unity and the “hybridisation” of religion that is evident particularly in Europe, we do find it hard to imagine what the church is thinking as it pursues this project.

Hollywood are not the only ones to release a Noah film this spring. Predictably, Hollywood’s version deviated significantly from the Biblical account but there was another Noah film that gave a faithful representation. Noah | And the Last Days is a short and challenging movie.
Jesus said:
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:37)
