You would hope that anyone could go into a church for a Sunday service and hear a solid gospel message, the fact that this is not case is not only shocking but evidence we are in the end times. So, how do you identify a remnant church?
Every week thousands attend churches without knowing anything is wrong, many of these people may not even be ‘born again’ because they’ve not been told the need for repentance by their leaders.
Then there are those who can see the apostasy in our churches but don’t have any churches near them that are truthful to God’s Word. It is a sad… Continue reading
The Bible clearly warns that there will be deception in the end times, Jesus warned us about this 4 times in Matthew 24! Deception is coming from many routes now, from local pastors to world leaders, with the most obvious sign being teaching against God’s Word.
One of the clearest verses in the Bible is John 14:6:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Church worship is one of the most intimate acts that exist between the Christian and the Lord God. We’ve all heard of dour and cold churches where the ‘singing’ of hymns sounds more like a funeral service than the heartfelt praise and adoration to our Creator – however, the reverse of this is also a serious problem…something this blogger describes as “performancism”. He goes on to outline this as being a pretence of worship with, “The worship leader as the performer. The congregation as the audience. The sanctuary as the concert hall.” This is a serious issue and something every Christian should be on guard against and it is… Continue reading
The Pope is currently engaged in a high profile visit to the New York where among other appearances, he has addressed the United Nations and attended a multi-faith service. During this trip, he has made some rather baffling statements – worst of all, when speaking at St Patrick’s Cathedral, New York he is quoted as saying, “Jesus Christ and His life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross”. This is a bewildering statement by the Pope, especially as there was no mention of the resurrection or that fact that Jesus WILLINGLY went to the cross to redeem humanity – this was no failure, it was the… Continue reading

We live in days of great confusion and the Christian environment is certainly no exception! Every Christian is exposed to a huge range of views and opinions which can lead to a sense of feeling lost. In the midst of this, it really is vital for every believer to be able to sift out anything that not Scriptural and in order to achieve this, it’s more important than ever to be firmly versed in Scripture. Which is why we ask if you go to a confessing or a compromising church?
Deception always comes in a subtle form and this can be a particularly strong pull in the UK’s liberal society.… Continue reading
There is no question that the levels of Biblical literacy in Christian circles has dramatically decreased in recent decades. This alarming trend looks set to continue and there are many reasons for this as Kenneth Berding points out in his article – The Crisis of Biblical Illiteracy.
In summary, Berding points to the following reasons for this:
- Misplaced Priorities
- Unwarranted overconfidence
- The pretext of being too busy
Whilst we completely agree with all of these, we would suggest there are some more factors that compound this. Firstly, there has been an aggressive attack (sometimes from within the church) on the authenticity of the Scriptures – this has led… Continue reading
