Amidst the increasing hysteria about climate change, much of the church seems hopelessly confused between the secular worldview and the Biblical worldview when trying to respond to the aggressive nature of environmental activism.
As followers of Christ, our understanding of why the world is the way it is and what lies ahead should be primarily shaped by the Bible. Jesus often spoke in parables, some of which are still well-known to today’s secular culture, but these parables often carry a very direct and shocking message if taken at face value. Parables can also be difficult to interpret due to the heavy use of imagery and symbolism – however, there are a few occasions where Jesus uses a parable and then explains the meaning for the audience. One such occasion is the parable of the wheat and the tares – a very simple message with a crystal clear but disturbing message.

We have seen an explosion of fake news. It’s amazing how quickly a new phrase can become part of day-to-day speech in our culture and there is no better example of this than the term ‘fake news’. Intelligent Design (ID) holds that life, and the universe, were created by an intelligent entity and could not have happened by chance. The debate over creation vs evolution has been ongoing for many years, but as with any subject matter like this, it’s the evidence that should solely influence our conclusions. Living Waters have released their latest film The Atheist Delusion. The synopsis of the film says, “Having to prove the existence of God to an atheist is like having to prove the existence of the sun, at noon on a clear day. Yet millions are embracing the foolishness of atheism.” Ray Comfort asks various atheists questions to show how they are denying the obvious!

University settles with Creationist Scientist Mark Armitage after being fired for discovering amazing dinosaur evidence that supports Biblical creation. This lead to a lawsuit where Mr Armitage alleged he was fired based on religion. Now the University have agreed to settle which can be seen as an admission that they expected to lose the case and that his inconvenient discovery was the main motivation for his dismissal. Not only did he discover soft, brown tissue in the horn of a Triceratops, he also discovered actual bone cells – evidence like this shatters the myth that dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago.
