The Control Room

The dynamics of an airport are fascinating. Think of air traffic control at Heathrow airport – the coordination involved is mindboggling and there is very little room for a mistake. On a clear day, you can see the planes stacking in vertical lines before they are given the go-ahead to land – planes going in and out constantly, every minute or so. It looks so calm and orderly from a distance. We don’t see the inside of the control room where everything is carefully choreographed, but we know it exists.

Compare that scene to the inside of an airport where things can look unbelievably chaotic! People running around everywhere, frantically… Continue reading

The Death of the Queen and the Five Heavenly Crowns

Following the death of our Queen, we have been thinking of the theme of crowns. The Queen made no secret of her faith, particularly in more recent years, and we have no reason to doubt her security in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Queen’s life was pretty extraordinary, but one of the many things that made her life unique was that she sometimes wore a physical crown. One of the great things about being a follower of Jesus is that we also have a share in the practice of ‘crown-wearing’ as well!

There are five crowns listed in the NT:

The Imperishable Crown

‘Do you not know that in a… Continue reading

A Biblical response to a climate of fear

As we approach the end of 2020, we reflect on what has been a monumental year. A year we will believe that will prove to have greatly accelerated the world towards the coming end-time climax as outlined in Scripture. Our respond to Covid-19 has been the main catalyst to this and the mainstream media has been bombarding us with worst-case scenarios and gloomy predictions.

This is led to a variety of negative responses within society such as increased anxiety, worry and tension. This is all epitomised by a climate of fear. Fear is defined as an ‘unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm’.… Continue reading

The Coming King text in blue bright sky

Around 8 years ago we setup the ‘The Truth of Judgment Day’ and we often agonised over its name, we know it is not an enticing name and unlikely to attract an internet-surfer looking for a light read. As our main goal is reaching the lost we have wondered whether we needed to change. Why not a name that is more likely to attract a positive response rather than a name that sounds like a threat? As we want to point people towards their need for salvation through Jesus Christ and remain faithful to the gospel message revealed in Scripture and message a less confrontational approach may be better.

Therefore,… Continue reading

A Biblical Approach to Climate Change

Amidst the increasing hysteria about climate change, much of the church seems hopelessly confused between the secular worldview and the Biblical worldview when trying to respond to the aggressive nature of environmental activism.

As followers of Christ, our understanding of why the world is the way it is and what lies ahead should be primarily shaped by the Bible. To help articulate a Biblical understanding of this issue we have written a new article that seeks to frame climate change within the prism of Scripture. This is not an exhaustive study, but we hope it will serve as a starting point – feel free to read – Climate Change and… Continue reading

Close up of scripture showing God of love

One of the major theological problems we have at present in Western mainstream Christian circles is the inability to reconcile two of the attributes of God – His ‘love’ and ‘wrath’. We often see these as mutually exclusive and conclude that they cannot simultaneously describe the character of God. As a result, churches will speak confidently of God’s love (which it should), but either become shy and awkward about God’s wrath or abandon any discussion of this altogether. This causes confusion, leaving many wondering is God a God of love or wrath?

This is not consistent with the teachings of the Bible. God has an array of attributes that describe… Continue reading

Crop circles in a field - is it a sign of the end times?

Crop circles may seem like a very unlikely subject of a blog on a website committed to the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ in these end times. However, this is a phenomenon we don’t feel we can ignore as they appear to be impossible to explain and we believe they may be connected to the signs of the end times. Not only do crop circles seemingly appear in a very short duration of time, but they are also incredibly intricate and complex. Many of them are stunning in appearance and are completed in the perfect arrangement within hours which would appear to rule out any possibility of… Continue reading
